Lyttelton Recreation Centre

The Lyttelton Recreation Centre has a long history within the fabric of the Ōhinehou Lyttelton community.

It has served as a central hub for the development of skills and the growth of connection within multiple generations, providing place and resources for a wide range of people, activities and goals.

As part of its evolution and identity expansion, Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke were asked to gift a name to the centre.

The name given is Mānawa Kāwhiu.
